This is the list of 7 most horrific "bottomless pits"
7.SibĂran Hole
A mysterious giant hole suddenly appeared in Siberia,Russia.
The hole was wide between 50 and 100 meters, and there's a lake at the bottom.
There are not many informatios about this hole, but the video taken from a helicopter shows a weird configuration with debris and signs of combustion around the hole.
6. KOLA - SUPER DEEP Borehole (Russia)
Not all holes in the ground were caused naturally or mysteriously.
In the period from 1970 to 1994, a geologist from Russia drilled the deepest hole in the ground that anybody ever saw.
It's result is KOLA - Extremly deep Borehole.
The main target depth was set at 15 000 m (49 000 ft).
The hole reached 12 262 m (40 230 ft) in 1989. In that year, the hole depth was expected to reach
13 500 m (44 300 ft) by the end of 1990 and 15 000 m (49 000 ft) by 1993. However because of higher than expected temperatures at this depth and location, 180C instead of expected 100C drilling deeper was deemed unfeasible and the drilling was stopped in 1992.
This project was closed down in 2005 because of lack of funding. All the drilling and research equipment was scrapped and the site has been abandoned since 2008.
5.GERMAN SUPER DEEP Borehole
4. Dead Sea Craters
3.Dean's Blue Hole
202 meters (663 ft) depth, Dean's blue hole is the deepest underwater hole, located in the Bahamas.
According to the legend, the hole was created by the devil, who still lives in it.
2.DEVIL'S HOLE
Devil's Cave is located deep into the heart of Texas.Devils Hole branches into deep caverns at least 300 feet deep, from an opening at the surface that
is approximately 6 by 18 feet. According to geologists, the caves were formed over 500 000 years ago. That hole is one of the largest natural habitats of Mexican bats.
1.Son Doong - Cave
This is the world's largest cave. Located in Vietnam.
Cave was found by a local man Ho Khanh in 1991. and recently discovered in 2009 by British cavers,
led by Howard Limbert. Son Doong Cave was created 4 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain Where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights.
